It is noted on the Bentley chassis now going through that the red danger mark on the speedometer between 4,500 and 5,00 R.P.M. merely consists of the scale being filled in. The original experimental speedometers had a red segment extending from the centre of the dial to the scale. We are not sure how it has come about that the dials have been altered but we consider it of the utmost importance that the red danger mark should be distinctly shown as on our experimental speedometers. We recommend therefore that these chassis should have the speedometer scale altered to conform with our original scheme. This matter has been discussed with E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} who is in agreement. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
