YOUR REF.

29th April, 1936.

Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} C. West,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
Derby.

Dear Mr. West,

Further to the sinterkorund Spark Plug samples which I sent you vide my letter of the 9th April, I shall be glad to know whether you have done anything in the way of testing these plugs, or whether the warning on blowing that I gave you in my letter of the 14th instant has decided you to wait for the non detachable samples which we expect to send you in a day or so. If you are carrying out any tests on the samples already submitted, I shall be very interested to have even an interim report.

When I was up in Derby and called at your works (while you were ill), I asked one of your men to obtain and send to me an example of a mica plug suffering badly from lead attack. The request for this sample was due to our desire to obtain further information than we have at present on lead attack characteristics. Apparently this request has been forgotten, and if you could obtain such a plug for me, I should be grateful.

Yours faithfully,

[Signature]

N.F. STOCKBRIDGE,
Managing Director.
