BENTLEY CHASSIS - RE: CHASSIS B.99-BL. MR. LEVEY.

The Bentley Service Department's note of December 17th. No. 132, points out that this car was abandoned for clutch failure on the Thames Embankment, apparently on the 16th December.

Under 'Remarks' the following notes are made :-

"This clutch was relined on the 10.9.36. at 13838 miles and has only last 1812 miles.
A brief history is as given under.

2003 miles adjusted to cure slip.
6950 " relined " "
11228 " adjusted " "
13830 " relined " "

Defective parts are being returned to W. under cover of our Advice Note No. 83 for examination "

It would certainly appear that this particular car requires special treatment, at the same time one imagines it must be to a great extent due to the customer's method of driving.
