(3) Magnesium Gearbox, Clutch Pit, Bottom Half, etc. 30 lbs. (4) Substitute Ph.II Continental rear Road Springs for Ph.III Springs 40 lbs. (5) Engine Unit - at least 45 lbs. (6) Electrical. Use 20/25 Dynamo and Battery 20 lbs. (7) Flexible Flywheel 20 lbs. (8) Exhaust System 50 lbs. (9) Brake layout, light alloy rear drums 40 lbs. (10) Petrol Tank 5 lbs. (11) Steering Gear & Levers 10 lbs. (12) Radiator 20 lbs. (13) Lockheed Jacks instead of Smith's 20 lbs. (14) Lightened Bumper Bars 15 lbs. 415 lbs. or 3.7 cwts. Hall's Metal Big End & Main Bearings. 8-33 axle ratio. It has been demonstrated in France that owing to the stiff frame and improved suspension of the Ph.III, aluminium wings can be used with impunity. | ||
