Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Experimental Dept. Derby. Dear Sirs, Further to our letter of yesterday's date, the following has occurred to us as having a possible bearing on the general side of the gauge situation, as opposed to its purely engineering side. The abolition of the pressure balance air line is admittedly a great advantage, if the diaphragm or Bourdon tube type of gauge can be made accurate and consistent. It must be remembered that for matching up and appearance, your dials have to be photographically produced from a master, which precludes any question of inconsistent calibration of the instrument necessitating individual dials. | ||
