RE. GOSHAWK 11. FRONT AXLE. X.4263.

Mr. Royce does not like the idea of fitting artificial friction in the pivots of the front axle to overcome the steering troubles, consequently the use of any device of this kind will have to be something of a last resort. Mr. Royce is of the opinion that the present scheme will do if properly fitted up, and with set-up springs in the side steering tube and the right loading.

I am therefore sending you a sketch of a multi plate pivot thrust washer with a view to your trying it as a last resort, should it be found impossible to send out production chassis with the present standard fittings.
