An aluminium asbestos lined baffle is fitted above the silencer. It is well protected by the silencer from damage. Road Test Report. Fitted to 14-EX - run 1000 miles. Fitted to 8-EX - run 500 miles. Tests shew it to be a definite improvement. Recommended for standardisation at once. [Option C is ticked] A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to Customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in Works. C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test. D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis. Weight of Old Part.
