Carburation is a vitally important part of the development of any car. At the present moment we have a large volume of development work in hand on this subject. In addition to two new engines - a six and an eight - which have an entirely new inlet and exhaust valve arrangement with attendant problems of idling, we have new distribution problems connected with the 8 cylinder. We have also a new duplex induction system for our existing six, and, at the same time, it is imperative that we should have an automatic start for any engine unit by Christmas of this year. To bring these various experiments to a successful conclusion, it is imperative that there should be entire co-operation between the test beds and the road test work. At the moment, we are not satisfied that the job is going as it should, and a discussion will, therefore take place on what we can do to improve matters. This will be held at 2.0'clock this afternoon in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s Technical office. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
