Contd. -2- EH1/LGS.3.18. ---------- It would be of interest to us to have copies of tests in the air of the best consumptions which have been obtained on the other types of carburetters. With reference to the statement that more men hours are required to produce the R.R.C.H. form of control this is not correct. One has to take into account the great amount of time which is saved on the first tests and during the whole life of the carburetter be having a convenient jet adjustment. Our experience proves that since we have adopted the R.R.C.H. carburetters the time taken to prepare a new engine for the official tests is only one fourth of the time it used to take when we fitted a carburetter with the vacuum control. X.3188. As regards testing a pair of C.H.7. type carburetters on an "Eagle" engine, we have a pair of these carburetters at the works we intended to try. We have since heard that these carburetters have been improved in several ways so we suggest returning the present C.H.7. type for a pair of the latest. EH.
