varied. At the same time we should carefully consider whether the steering levers should not be strengthened. May we not have made the levers so rigid that there is practically no flexion and that the shocks which were previously damped partly in the pivot are now entirely taken by the steering levers ? The pivot and steering levers were probably equally stiff before or nearly so, but now the pivot is considerably stiffer than the lever and the lever is therefore more likely to give way.
