A.{Mr Adams} J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Rowledge Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sir,

I am writing you at the suggestion (unofficially) of Major Bulman of the Air Ministry, with reference to a Mica Sparking Plug of new invention, recently put on the market.

I understand from your London Office that you will be in London on Thursday next, and as I am over from Paris for a few days only, I should be greatly appreciative if you could arrange to see me for a short while on that day, as I am convinced that my proposition will be of interest to you.

The Plug has not yet been approved by the British Air Ministry who are, however, at the present time conducting exhaustive tests at Farnborough, the preliminary tests conducted by them having been entirely satisfactory.

Tests have also been conducted by Mr. Fedden and Major Halford, and I have recently received interesting orders from the Dutch Royal Air Force and K.{Mr Kilner} L. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore}

The particular features, which I shall be happy to explain to you very fully, are its type of construction, being particularly suitable to engines of high compression and B.M.E.P., and also, the long service life of the Plug.

It is being used exclusively by quite a number of Air Lines in the United States, who are obtaining 250 - 300 flying hours without servicing the Plug in any way whatsoever, as against 15- 25 hours of European Air Lines, and who estimate the actual average life of the Plug at 1000 hours.
