Phantom III.

With regard to the somewhat alarming reports received from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} on the behaviour of 32-EX in France, in respect to riding, road holding, and the jazzing of the back axle, I have now discussed this matter with GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} and find that these criticisms do not apply except at speeds of 90 m.p.h. and over on route nationale surfaces, or in other words at about 10 miles an hour faster than we used to drive the Phantom II under the same conditions.

GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} argues quite reasonably that the car can and will be driven in this manner, but what it boils down to is that we have not sufficient damping to keep the back axle and the suspension steady enough under these extreme conditions.

Below these speeds I understand the car is considered satisfactory.
