X.3014b - LUCAS E.575 DYNAMO - POWER REQUIRED TO OPERATE.

We have made a test on the amount of power required to drive the standard Lucas dynamo. This works out at .72 H.P. at the speed of 680 r.p.m., this speed corresponding to maximum ampere output, and .89 H.P. at 2445 r.p.m. which is a higher speed at which the ampere output is somewhat reduced by control.
