P/W Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X433 V1589 Wa.{Mr Wallis}5/Go.14.2.24 Many thanks for your memo HsI/LG.9.2.24. I am much obliged to you for your proposal to experiment with Mackenzie's change speed fan drive. I note what you say with regard to the spring shackles. I am sorry R.{Sir Henry Royce} did not consider they were worth testing. A friend of mine here has had a Met on his Rolls Royce for over 12 months and it is astonishing the little wear there is and no sign of steering troubles which we have traced often to play in spring links. However as R.{Sir Henry Royce} does not consider them worth testing, there is nothing more to be said. WA.{Mr Wallis} Cde | ||
