R.R. 235A (500 T) (S.D. 408. 26-4-17.) Bm. 2/156/13. X.3461.A. Extract. from Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}5/W28.7.19. The connecting links for these shock absorbers foul the frame at their top ends. I do not think this fouling can be avoided under the present arrangements, as they are sandwiched between the springs and the frame side member; the spring end, controlled by the back axle, is thrown about a good deal sideways, and sometimes forces the shock absorber link under the frame, with the result that a bump at that moment forces the top of the link against the under side of the frame, and bends the little cantilever bracket on the axle to which the lower end of the link is attached. Mr. Hives has dealt with this in a separate note. z | ||
