contd :- -3- point of contact, axle weight and the disposition thereof, wheel camber, gather, cant, steering geometry and reversibility, spring mounting and flexibility, shock absorber nature and loading, and even frame construction and body mounting all have an effect upon the phenomenon, while Mons. De Lavaud even states that the rear axle differential has a bearing on the trouble. So that it is not a problem that can be approached light- heartedly. Fortunately, for the industry, it is largely confined in its most violent form to big cars driven at high speeds. ------------------ | ||
