We give below our suggestions for dealing with the points relating to the above raised in the above memo:-
1st speed selector mechanism.
Modifications to improve the ease of assembly have been instructed by M.Sch.4475.
Washer for Centre Roller Bearing.
Would BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} kindly modify the diameter as required. The question of manufacture is unlikely to arise as a ball bearing will probably be substituted here.
Change Gear and Brake Mechanism.
Would BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} kindly modify as suggested.
Hand Brake Equaliser.
This does not normally come in my section.
Governor Control for Damper.
The present policy, as I understand it, will either delete the whole unit or modify it considerably. However, I have dealt with the two points as follows:-
