HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. BY/HEB.{H. Biraben} X8250 ? X8520 BY5/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 18.2.26. 20 HP. CHASSIS & PHANTOMS. SHOCK ABSORBERS. I would like to remind you that whilst we have arranged for the necessary stronger parts and stronger springs to enable the front shock absorbers to be increased in poundage from 25 lbs. to 40 lbs. on the 20 HP. and similarly or proportionately on the 40/50 HP, we instructed the Works that they are to carry on with the original poundages until such times as you were able to test out the improved parts which were sent along to you early in November, when we issued instructions to the Works to order up the new springs and certain stronger parts to enable the new springs to be fitted without fear of damaging the shock absorber. We would like to know whether you have tried out the new parts and can issue a Standardization Sheet for increasing the load on the front shock absorbers as indicated above. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
