For the attention of Mr. Tresilian.

Dear Sirs,

Crankshaft Torsion Tests.

We thank you for your letter of the 19th. instant containing information for transmission to Mr. Constant, and we note with interest that you are proposing to excite a complete aero engine electrically to verify the torsional frequency. Doubtless this will throw light on the effects of the reduction gearing.

We look forward to the receipt of the further information you have kindly undertaken to send.

Yours faithfully,

R.{Sir Henry Royce} S. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Hall

Chief Superintendent, R.A.E.
