re Minute 11 of the 87th meeting.

TBB16/L8112.

Mr Platford. 8.1.12

In this minute you proposed we should obtain a 57 h.p. Daimler in order to obtain information concerning their axles. Does this suggestion which was passed by the committee still hold good, or will the Daimler which we have at present at the works provide information you anticipate we should obtain from the larger chassis?

no

I do not think the 38 h.p. chassis will give us the information we require, i.e. whether it is possible to efficiently build a worm drive of convenient size that will transmit our large h.p.

T.B.Barrington.

The purpose of the car i.e., how to transmit big h.p. through bevels quietly or worm gear efficiently without our present troubles.
