15-EX CAR - 10,000 MILES TEST +892 of 5
IN FRANCE.

We attach herewith a report from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} on the condition of the above car after it had completed 6,000 miles.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} is at Chateauroux with the object of confirming steering tests under French road conditions.
Comparative tests are being made with the shorter pendulum lever similar to that fitted to 14-EX.

He is also investigating the frame distortion and the apparent lack of rigidity of the steering column.

Tests are also being made at Derby to see whether any difference can be shewn with and without the frame tie rods, or with and without the rubber engine mounting.

The information on these points is not yet complete, and will be sent through later.
