COMMENTS OF CAR MANUFACTURERS.

" We have carried out experiments with the corrugated gaskets, and have found certain very definite benefits from the use of this type."

" With reference to the sample ' CORRUJOINT ' Gaskets you supplied, these have been tested for some time and found satisfactory, there have been no signs of blowing or cracking."

" With regard to the sample Cylinder Head Joints which you were good enough to submit for trial on one of our . . . . . . . . . . . . Engines, we are pleased to inform you that this joint on trial gave every satisfaction."

" Excellent article—had no idea anything like it on the market."

COMMENTS OF USERS.

" We are now in a position to pass our opinion on the Corrugated Joints of your manufacture which we have had under test now for several months."

" These joints have been used as Cylinder Head Gaskets, Exhaust and Inlet Manifold Joints, etc., etc., and you will doubtless be interested to hear that after many thousands of miles running, we have not yet found it necessary to remove a joint due to any failure. In certain cases where joints have been removed, this has been due entirely to the fact that the component concerned required dismantling for some other reason."

" We are now considering the more extensive use of this joint in the future, as we feel sure that it has many advantages over the usual copper and asbestos joint."

" We find, on test, that the corrugated washer sent us will do very well for the gasket of the ' DIESEL ' engine referred to."

" I have pleasure in saying that the joints, which you supplied me, gave me every satisfaction and I do not mind you using as an advertisement the fact that I used your joints on my car when I broke the Speed Record (for Baby cars) at Brooklands, in August, 1931."

" Your ' CORRUJOINT ' Gaskets supplied 28th September, 1931, were fitted and have been in service since the first of October, 1931, having accomplished a mileage of 27,380. The reason for removal, the vehicle in question was undergoing overhaul."

Dear Sirs,

Cupro-Nickel Gaskets.

Gasket failures in Motor Car or Motor Cycle engines frequently occasion loss of time and money to say nothing of the inconvenience they cause, yet the risk of such failures can be eliminated almost entirely by using the latest type of gasket made from Cupro-Nickel.

These gaskets represent an advance both in design and material. Instead of a flat sheet of copper with asbestos packing, a corrugated sheet of Cupro-Nickel, a strong corrosion-resisting material, is employed. The corrugations take up any inequalities in the surfaces and ensure a sound all-metallic joint, capable of withstanding high pressures and high temperatures.

The remarkable properties of Cupro-Nickel gaskets have been amply demonstrated by actual service in racing engines and in well-known makes of private cars. Their extra cost is only a matter of a few pence, and this is far out-weighed when considered in relation to the time and
