to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 48830 EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/7.1.28. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RE SPORTS OPEN BODIES. HOOPER. This body is panelled and will be ready in about two weeks if we can have the wing-stays and step brackets fitted to the dummy soon. We propose finishing the car in two contrasting shades of blue by two coats of colour and one of varnish. This is the body proposed for the 10,000 miles test. BARKER. We understand that the dummy for this body is on its way. As the body is only just framed up, we shall have to press hard to get it for the P/W day. In this case we are finishing the car in cellulose, either blue and cream or blue and polished aluminium. Whilst, in the case of the Hooper body we can send you some paint to finish the actual bonnet with, in this case we must have the actual bonnet. Could you let us have this please? JARVIS. This body is at a standstill almost, and will be so until we can liberate the dummy now at Hooper's and let them have it. EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} We forgot to say that we shall be unable to panel the lower portion of the tail of the Hooper body until we have the correct filler on the petrol tank. At present we can only mount the body by removing the tank. | ||
