| 87941. RN. {Mr Robinson} 2/WT10.8.31. S/W. {Sales / Derby Works} Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} ..from PN. {Mr Northey} 25-EX. I shall be going by train to Paris on Saturday next the 15th, and should be glad for this car to pick me up on the following morning at the Hotel Lutetia, Bld. Raspail, at 9.30. From your Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 3/AD6.8.31 I note that (you are arranging for other officials to try the car between the 9th and 16th instant. Will you please let me know what actually has been done about this, because before leaving England Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} reminded me that probably EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Mx. {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} JLE {J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} should be asked to run a few hundred miles on this car, but he did not think this would take place until the car had returned to England, i.e. that it would not be necessary for them to go to France in this connection. Also, is it proposed that the car, when I have finished with it at the end of my week, say the 21st instant, should return to Paris or to Works ? PN. {Mr Northey} [Handwritten note on left:] I have now spoken to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} PN {Mr Northey} [Handwritten note, circled, bottom left:] DC 11 8/31 | ||
