-cont'd- - 4 - Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/TAS.{T. Allan Swinden}10/SW.4.9.41. Apart from the annoyance of a running-on engine, the biggest trouble at the moment seems to be that before the engine stops it fires backwards once or twice. This fills the induction system and air silencer with exhaust gas which makes hot starting very difficult. This appears to be a feature of the engine whether it has been running on for a long time or for a very short time. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/TAS.{T. Allan Swinden}JAS. | ||
