X. 6036 IGNITION COILS. Referring to my verbal conversation with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} on the subject of coils when I pointed out that we were not in agreement with your note of Dec. 6th. that Delco Remy coils are 100% reliable, I have obtained the information which I promised HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} I would get viz. that Mr. Davis of 'D' Dept. has an uncle who was running up to a year ago Dodge vans fitted with Remy coils, and the official figure of failures was 75%. A year ago he turned down the Dodge vans and adopted an English make, so that Mr. Davis has no information more recent than a year ago, but the present coil appears to be exactly similar to a number which he obtained for me at the time we were comparing our own make with other types of coils, and which had failed on the cars in question.
