X7690 Extract from G.W. Hancock's report dated 15.8.30 on 24-EX at 10,000 miles. X7690. DISTRIBUTOR TO LOP. D.72169. The distributor case was free from cracks and showed no failure when examined at the finish of the mileage. The contact points, although making good contact, had got a pit formed on the screw contact with a corresponding hole in the blade contact. This failure seems to be getting back to what was experienced some time ago when it was overcome by the rubbing contacts. It would appear that this feature has been lost in the strengthening up of the screw contact arm. | ||
