Will you please note that it is not intended to apply these instructions to the "Corniche". The L.O.P. issued by the memo. have been compiled to provide a basis, as requested by memo. Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/15/JH.23.2.40. for the range of Senior Axles which we are to instruct to the specification laid down in Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s. aforesaid memo. With reference to the drawings GB.5399/400, which we have issued with this memo. These were drawn just before the war by By's. D.O. to suit the Strengthened Centre Casing to GCD.1483. We have modified these drawings to suit PL.123 and GCD.899. We can find no record of them having been issued previously, but we shall be glad if you will check up whether there are any Experimental prints in existance, and if so, they should be replaced by the prints issued under cover of this memo. Further particulars of the above schemes will follow with the instructions for the various rear axle specifications, with the exception of GCD.1483 particulars of which the memo. covers.
