(2) EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/25.10.30. cont. (h) A quickly detachable filler cap has been suggested. We have one for the petrol tank on N.2. series, but that design would not be suitable for the radiator. It would be possible for one to use the bayonet type of cap as used on the crankcase oil filler if it were not for the great mass of our mascot with its high centre of gravity. "R" has often asked us to make a cap so that a mascot could not be fitted but we felt Sales would not agree to this. If we dare to use a valve in the cap to avoid spilling we would like a bayonet cap and no mascot. (j) A design for horizontal louvres has been sent to Derby. We saw the shutters which some people have suggested we might like fitted to the 16 cyl. Cadillac. We will again suggest some designs to "R" but he last said he prefers the horizontal louvres as they are always open. (k) We have sent a design to Derby for carrying down the bonnet side and have pointed out the difficulties in the way of its universal adoption. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
