We hand you herewith two sets of RAD.13 Ferodo servo linings for the 40/50, and 3 sets for the 20/25 HP. If it is possible, we should like you to run a set of these plates for about 500 miles so that they become thoroughly settled down, and then pass an opinion on them.

We do not expect any marked increase in efficiency from these servo linings, but on the other hand, we do not expect a decrease in efficiency. Being rather harder than the cotton duck material, the servo when fitted with RAD.13 is more susceptible to mis-alignment than with the cotton duck material. This fact has given us some rather conflicting results on our test, but your production servos should be manufactured consistently which will minimise the trouble.

We propose to issue a standardisation sheet for this material as soon as we receive a favourable opinion from you.
