re R.R. Expanding Carburetter for J.III Chassis.

Please find herewith print of LeC.3122 showing the design for the J.III carburetter we have handed to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}

The air valve on this instrument is the same size as that at present in use on the Phantom model of this carburetter.

Some of the parts shown, viz. the jet adjustment mechanism, control, slowrunning carburetter, and the float pivot details are interchangeable with Phantom II.

The flow of the petrol from the float chamber to the jet is now continuously along the level or upward, the two downward steps in its passage, which originally existed having now been eliminated.
