For the attention of Mr. Rowbotham, Experimental Dept.

Dear Sirs,

Confirming the writer's interview with Mr. Rowbotham on Friday last, we have instructed our Works to send you samples of our Twin Filament Regulation lamps, and these will be despatched direct to you from Rugby.

We are sending you 4 lamps in which the 'U' Filaments are set out of centre in order to increase the concentration of light on the kerb, which we understand is of considerable interest to you, and in addition, we are sending you two pairs of lamps in the same rating, but with the 'U' Filaments centrally fixed so that the flat anti-dazzle beams will be projected directly forward instead of to one side, and we shall be particularly interested to have your comments in due course as to which type of anti-dazzle light you prefer.

Whilst we fully appreciate the value of increasing the concentration of light on the near-side, we personally believe that the forward flat beam will give you the most satisfactory results, but then we must leave this for you to consider from all standpoints to suit the Rolls Royce and Bentley Cars, and as above mentioned, we shall be extremely interested to have your comments when your tests are concluded.

We shall be very pleased to furnish any further information or additional samples, if you will kindly let us hear from you.

Yours faithfully,
H.A. LINGARD.
