BENTLEY 60 - "GENERAL" TYPE BYE-PASS FILTER.

Please receive herewith :-

E.CD.823 "General" Bye-pass Filter. Bentley 60.

This design is alternative to E.CD.613, which called for an 'A.C.' type bye-pass filter.

The 'A.C.' Filter will be used on the first B.60 engine, as the crankcase casting will not be suitable for the "General" filter shown on E.CD.823.

It will also be noted that the facings for the filter support bracket and also for the oil connection to the high pressure main are different for the two types of filters.

Except for the support bracket, the "General" filter unit is the same as for the Wraith lll engine.

The oil pipes to and from the filter are new.

When the Bentley 60 crankcase is modified to suit the new clutch casing, and also the front engine mounting, it should also include the modifications for the 'General' type filter, so that design E.CD.823 can be used on a later engine in place of the A.C. filter.
