To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} S E C R E T. Y8140 E5/M3.4.25. 'V' SERIES. X. 8140 ACCELERATOR CONTROL. X. 8470 X. 8240 With regard to the complaint that the accelerator control wears and prevents the throttle valve from completely closing, we think the control should be allowed more clearance with the throttle, and that one of the levers on the toggled portion of the accelerator control could be more favourably placed to increase the effective stroke. This latter would make up for the increased clearance aforementioned and enable the accelerator control to still open the throttle valve fully. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} MADE AT CROXLEY | ||
