| HOTEL DE FRANCE. CHATEAUROUX. Indre. France. X300d GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/I/JAB 2nd August 1935. To. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} From. G.W.H. 3. S. I. SPECTRECodename for Phantom III. Your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 3/ETM 30.7.35 received. With regard to the abnormal wear of the front Tyres, I am sorry but the characteristic of the Tyres were spoiled by a further day's mileage. The outer edge wore down and brought the Tyres more or less normal. A peculiar feature of this was, the tyre wore level after fitting the new buffers sent out. The wear of the rear Tyres is normal for the hot weather and mileage. We have dismantled the Clutch. It was entirely free of oil. The fabrics were perfectly dry and in a good condition. We have re-lined it with the V M 20 linings Fisher brought out. It is now being re-assembled. We have found a cracked bellows of the thermostat for restriction of water on B side. ------------- G.W.Hancock G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} W. H.{Arthur M.
