TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X1756 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M16.4.25. re. COOPER-STEWART SPEEDOMETER. We had a representative of the Cooper-Stewart people down here the other day, and amongst other things he drew our attention to their new speedometer. We know you do not like the type which read figures instead of having an indicating needle, and we also know that you like the accurate slow speed reading of the A.T. At the same time as he was very anxious we should test this speedometer, and assured us that we had not yet done so as it is a new model only out this year, those we have previously tested being of the older type, we consented to his leaving the speedometer with us, and promised to send it on to you to test if you like, or to give your remarks without testing if you consider the latter unnecessary.
