To BJ. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} X3599 R3/M7.6.22. GOSHAWK WHEELS. X. 3599. With reference to your memo. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} (BJ10/H2.6.22.) I understand that Dunlops are prepared to take the same price. Rudge-Whitworth must of necessity be more difficult to tighten sufficiently to avoid movement, whatever they swear. I should prefer the greater simplicity, but not at the loss of efficiency - if both simplicity and £10,000 it is a very tempting to risk some delay and order from hand to mouth.
