Dear Sirs,

Re: IGNITION CABLE.

Referring to the delivery of a reel of cable which proved to be quite unsatisfactory for use, samples of which we returned, in regard to which your representative agreed that the cable was hopelessly at fault, and should never have been delivered, we have decided to specify in future a test to which every reel of cable shall be submitted before despatch from your Works, with the object of eliminating delivery of faulty material in the future.

I attach hereto copy of specification No.EL.9 High Tension Cables for RR. and Bentley chassis engines, and it will be necessary for you to issue a signed certificate with each delivery of cable to confirm that it has been tested and complies with this specification.

It should be noted that this specification deals particularly with the ignition cable for use on automobile engines.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.

By

TECHNICAL PRODUCTION ENGINEER.
