Answering your BJ1/H13.1.26, firstly re the question of the comparative cost of the Elliott ammeter and our present standard instrument, Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} remarks as follows :- "Our present Weston ammeter costs us 35/6d. and when I last discussed this question with Messrs. Elliott Bros. about a year ago, they put forward a provisional figure of 38/6d. I feel sure, however, they would ease this figure, as they are so keen to show us what they can do with these ammeters." Secondly, with regard to your queries re the face and omitting the indication that it is made in U.S.A. Mr. Whitehead has taken up this matter with the Weston Elec. Co., but at the time of writing has not yet received a complete reply. EFC. | ||
