Crankcase is dowelled at one end to take clutch casing by ½" dowels.

Crankcase is dowelled to take crankshaft main bearing caps.

The tappet cover is on the near side of block and carries a breather for engine.

Timing case is a sheet steel pressing with a thrust pad for camshaft welded on.

CLUTCH CASING.

Cast Iron upper half dowelled to crankcase.

Pressed steel lower half.

CRANKSHAFT.

Material high carbon steel.

Crankpins 2โ…›" diameter x 1โ…œ" long.

Machined on Pins and Journals only.

Balance weights solid on all webs.

Crankshaft Damper and fan driving pulley one unit.

FLYWHEEL.

Material C.I. with hardened steel starter ring.

Steel shells, white metal lined with locating tabs fitted in notches.
