RE TRIALS CAR FOR THE AMERICAN COMPANY. It has occurred to us that there are several other items which we consider should be added to this chassis if the fitting of such is a practicable proposition without de laying delivery, even although the parts are not yet standardised as follows:- 1. X.3461b. Rear shock absorbers - providing we can procure modified pieces to correct the present faults in time, and also to obtain a set of these which can be fitted without delaying delivery. 2. X.2628. Un-split rear springs - these we think could be obtained and fitted in time, if considered advisable to fit. 3. X.3748. Stronger action starter clutch actuating box - this could be obtained and fitted in time. 4. X.3732. Modified spring control link for tightening X.3735. dynamo belt, also ½" link belt ( to reduce dynamo drive noise) - Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} could supply. 5. X.3507. Suitable luggage carrier brackets, or if possible without causing delay, luggage carrier complete and side filler to the tank. x Theis we are advising in order to avoid the troubles of these fittings not giving sufficient clearance for the shock absorbers. | ||
