This is most unusual and has never occurred on any experimental cars.

(3) The normal position of the ignition lever should be three-quarters of the way on the quadrant. In this position it should be possible to obtain maximum power and it should not be necessary to alter it for usual traffic running. The ignition lever can be used at the top of the quadrant when on the open road and the mixture is on the weak side.
