-2- We find this rig also very useful for measuring insulation resistance and breakdown voltages and it enables us to have available a high voltage D.C. supply through the use of the rectifying valve. On aero work this rig has been very useful in connection with tests we have been carrying out to improve the high altitude working of our aero engine ignition system. We have been enabled to test plugs of varying electrode shape etc. under pressure and have thus obtained a direct comparison from plug to plug in respect of their operating voltage. We thought you might be interested to hear of this new advance in our ignition experimental work. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
