FORM NO. 4 BENDIX LIMITED. COPY 4th August, 1938. Gentlemen, Apparently you have been experiencing considerable difficulty with our old style Press-o-meters. We are familiar with the error that existed in these instruments when pressure was applied near the edge of the plunger disc. Our new Press-o-meters are somewhat different in construction. The foot base is smaller in diameter and the attaching base is oval shaped with a clamp at each end, permitting it to be attached to either rectangular or round pedal heads. The small diameter of the top foot disc reduces the error to a point where it is practically nil. No provision is made to change the angle at which the pressure assembly attached to the foot pedal, however, this may be accomplished by using a wedge between the foot pedal and the oval base of the Press-o-meter. Zero to 100 lbs gauges will be furnished with this instrument at a slight additional cost, providing they are specified on your purchase order. I am unable at this time to quote you the additional price of this change. However, the charge will be small. Yours very truly Service Sales Department. Equipment Division. h | ||
