RR Worm axle 1141 Tested on 24/11/11 182E Chassis on Dynamometer. Revs HP HP 500. 16.5 19. 750. 23. 27.7 1000. 28.5 34.2 1250. 32. 39.3 1500. 33. 41.5 with worm axle with bevel axle 3.6 to 1 gear 2.95 to 1 gear Axle case around worm attained over 100 °F in 5 minutes. 500 engine revs. i.e. boiled water on case. Quietness excellent also on road. revolution Knock on worm on retard & slight growl on retard. After running worm wheel showed signs of wear & was not beading central but as though crossed.
