WRAITH II
Brake Pedal Countershaft.

We send herewith N.Sch:-4863 showing the above.

This scheme modifies LeC:-5159 in some respects as we have in corporated the supports for the floorboard angle with the shaft brackets.

Provision is made for considerable variation of the frame from the designed position. .200" packings are placed between the brackets and the frame, and the bosses in the brackets allow for .1875 variation each side of the normal vertically. By these means it is expected that the countershaft can be placed correctly relative to the transmission line and the back of the dash.

Final adjustment of the countershaft laterally to suit the lever on the servo must be made when all is assembled by varying the distance pieces which locate the shaft.

The angle supporting the floorboards is adjusted fore and aft by the packing provided and vertically by drilling the rivet holes in place.

This shaft has to be removed for the removal of the gearbox.

Spherical oilite bushes are used for the shaft bearings.
