60.J.S. STANDARD RADIATOR MOUNTING.

About 5 weeks ago I was sent over to Paris to deal with a complaint of jellying on 60 J.S. I went over with 85.J.S. (27-EX) in case insufficient improvement could be made to 60.J.S. in order to satisfy Paris. The complaint was however not frame jellying, but radiator movement and bonnet knocks. By removing the radiator control rubbers completely I was able to make 100% cure to radiator movement and bonnet knocks. Paris were so satisfied with the car that I returned to England with 27-EX and left 60.J.S. at Paris. Now you say it is impossible, indescribable.

It appears that Paris handed over 60 J.S. to you with the radiator control rubbers fitted, and not as I had left it. This was a pity. The sketch you sent showing the movement of the radiator before the rubbers came into action is quite correct. We expect this with the rubber F.84539.

We do not consider that the roads round Chateauroux are as bad as the bad pavé roads at the sides of the river at Sevres. It would be interesting to know how the car behaves now on the bad pavé roads at Sevres, and whether Paris considered it is better than the previous effort.
