To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X4239 E1/M25. 8. 22. X.4239. With reference to the Goshawk at WW. the throttle control rod is insufficiently long and it is not possible to close the throttle at all, also the levers are stretched right up above their wrong position. In accordance with Mr. Royce's instructions would you kindly send a longer throttle control rod as soon as possible, 3/4" to an 1" longer, with a long threaded portion so that I can cut it off to suit. The present rod was only entered into the fork a couple of threads. Mr. Royce would like to know when you expect to send the sparking plug spanner for the Goshawk, of which we sent you a design.
