To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. c. to CJ. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} EFC5/T25.9.19. X.3317. - RE "BUICK" BATTERY In accordance with your note E1/G9819, we have had pulled to pieces the "Buick" battery returned by you, after first giving this a prolonged slow charge. We found that, as you say, the middle cell would not stay up. In pulling this to pieces, we discovered in the bottom of this middle cell, sufficient accumulation of paste to short circuit the plates at the bottom. The other two cells have not yet been pulled to pieces, as we are first going to make discharge tests on these. EFC. | ||
