(Experimental Dept.) 1044 640 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Stdl/M 22nd February, 1937. Messrs. Fisher & Ludlow Ltd., Albion Works, BIRMINGHAM. 5. Dear Sirs, We regret the delay in replying to your letter of the 16th instant, Ref. RES/HC, owing to the writer's illness. We note your remarks re the spot welding of stiffeners to our Radiator Shells and appreciate your point of view. We should like to thank you for your offer to carry out experiments and let us have information on this subject. We are, therefore, forwarding to you some sample pieces of Staybrite and Mild Steel Stiffeners, marked for the attention of Mr. R.E. Smith. We should still be interested to hear whether you would be prepared to carry out the spot welding of stiffeners to steel bonnet sides as a production job, if we should require same. Again thanking you for the assistance given us. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
